Legal Dispute Erupts Over Virginia Giuffre’s Multi-Million-Dollar Estate in Western Australia Court

A contentious legal battle has commenced in the Supreme Court of Western Australia concerning the estate of Virginia Giuffre, the prominent survivor of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking network who died by suicide in April 2025 at age 41. Giuffre, who resided on a farm north of Perth in her final years, left behind substantial assets derived primarily from civil settlements with Epstein associates, including a reported £12 million (approximately $15-24 million USD depending on sources) payout from Prince Andrew in 2022, plus additional sums from Epstein in 2009 and Ghislaine Maxwell. Her estate also encompasses properties acquired with these funds and potential royalties from her memoir, “Nobody’s Girl.”

Giuffre passed away without executing a formal, signed will, rendering her estate intestate under Australian law. This has triggered competing claims for administration and control of her assets, valued in court filings at over A$472,000 (a threshold figure for certain proceedings), though speculation suggests the true worth could exceed A$20 million or more when including unreported holdings, investments, or “missing” settlement portions that family members have questioned publicly.

The primary claimants include Giuffre’s two adult sons, Christian (19) and Noah (18), who filed in June 2025 seeking appointment as estate administrators. They argue their mother lacked testamentary capacity at the time any informal document was drafted and advocate for intestate distribution, which under Western Australian rules would typically divide the estate among her surviving spouse (if applicable) and children — her three offspring, including a teenage daughter whose identity remains protected for legal reasons.

Opposing this are Giuffre’s longtime Perth-based attorney, Karrie Louden, and her former housekeeper/caregiver, Cheryl Myers. They have submitted counter-claims asserting that an unsigned informal will — purportedly expressing Giuffre’s wishes — should be recognized, potentially excluding or limiting benefits to her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre. The couple had separated amid allegations of family violence (including a breached restraining order charge against Giuffre earlier in 2025), and their divorce remained incomplete at her death. Australian intestacy provisions might entitle Robert to a significant share — potentially one-third — if no valid will overrides this.

Court proceedings, which began in late November 2025 with initial hearings, have escalated, including a February 2026 elevation to a senior judge to resolve complexities such as including the estranged husband and minor daughter as parties. A temporary administrator has been appointed to manage affairs pending resolution, with further case management hearings scheduled, including one in May.

Giuffre’s U.S.-based family members, including stepbrothers Sky Roberts and Daniel Williams, along with sisters-in-law Amanda Roberts and Lanette Wilson, have expressed concerns over the estate’s valuation and potential “missing millions,” emphasizing the need for transparency in how settlement funds were handled. They have not directly entered the Australian proceedings but continue advocating broadly for survivor justice and accountability tied to Giuffre’s legacy.

The case underscores the challenges of intestate succession in high-value estates involving international settlements, family estrangements, and informal estate planning. No final distribution has occurred, and the ongoing litigation highlights emotional and financial strains on those closest to Giuffre, who dedicated her life to exposing abuse and supporting victims.

As the Supreme Court navigates these competing interests, the outcome will determine not only asset control but also how Giuffre’s hard-won resources — born from her courageous fight against powerful figures — are ultimately allocated among her heirs and trusted associates.
