Bill Clinton Denies Ever Meeting Jeffrey Epstein or Virginia Giuffre During Intense House Deposition

In a recently released video from his closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee, former President Bill Clinton firmly denied having any personal encounter with Jeffrey Epstein’s accuser Virginia Giuffre and maintained he had no knowledge of the financier’s criminal activities. The testimony, part of an ongoing congressional probe into Epstein’s network, occurred in late February 2026 and was made public in early March, drawing significant attention amid renewed scrutiny of high-profile figures linked to the late sex offender.

During more than four hours of questioning on February 27, 2026, Clinton described his relationship with Epstein as a “brief acquaintance” that ended years before Epstein’s 2008 guilty plea and subsequent revelations about his sex trafficking operation. He emphasized that he never witnessed any inappropriate behavior, including sexual abuse of women or girls, nor did he engage in any sexual contact with individuals introduced by Epstein. When directly asked if he had ever met Virginia Giuffre — the prominent survivor and advocate who accused Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of trafficking her, and who passed away by suicide in April 2025 — Clinton replied unequivocally, “No.”

Lawmakers referenced allegations from Giuffre, including claims she saw Clinton on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James, and a diary entry where she reportedly wrote that “Bill Clinton met two times island with two girls, CTGM and JE.” Clinton dismissed these as untrue, stating he had never visited the island and had no recollection of such events. He was more measured on other locations, such as Epstein’s New Mexico ranch, saying “I do not remember doing that” when questioned about potential visits. No credible evidence has emerged accusing Clinton of sexual misconduct in connection with Epstein, and Giuffre herself never alleged abuse by him.

The deposition also covered Clinton’s documented flights on Epstein’s plane — around a dozen times, he said, primarily for philanthropic purposes — and photos from Epstein-related files showing him with Maxwell and others. Clinton denied recognizing certain individuals in images or engaging in any wrongdoing. He described Epstein as “odd” but not suspicious at the time, and reiterated that he would have reported any inkling of criminal activity.

Hillary Clinton, who testified the previous day, stated she had never met Epstein at all, a claim unchallenged by credible accounts. The couple’s appearances marked a rare instance of former presidents being compelled to testify before Congress on such matters.

The probe, driven by the House Oversight Committee, stems from the release of Epstein-related documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act and other disclosures in 2025 and 2026. While Clinton has faced questions over his past associations, including travel logs and social ties, he has consistently denied awareness of Epstein’s crimes. Epstein himself, in earlier communications, reportedly denied Clinton’s presence on his island.

Giuffre’s family, including stepbrother Sky Roberts and sister-in-law Amanda Roberts, have continued advocating for justice and accountability since her death. They have previously highlighted the impact of powerful figures’ connections to Epstein, though they have not directly commented on Clinton’s latest testimony in available reports.

This development adds to the complex legacy of Epstein’s case, where numerous prominent individuals appear in records without evidence of wrongdoing. Clinton’s statements underscore his position that any interactions were limited and innocent, while the committee continues examining broader networks and potential oversights.

The released footage has sparked debates over transparency, victim justice, and the accountability of influential people, ensuring Epstein’s crimes remain under intense public and congressional review.
