The world froze in stunned silence as Marina Lacerda, Jeffrey Epstein’s youngest publicly identified survivor—groomed and abused starting at age 14—emerged with raw fury in late 2025, condemning the U.S. Department of Justice’s heavily redacted Epstein file release as “a slap in our faces.”
Lacerda, a Brazilian immigrant who arrived in the U.S. as a child, was “Minor Victim-1” in Epstein’s 2019 federal indictment. Her testimony proved pivotal in charging the financier with sex trafficking months before his death.
