A stunned Britain froze as Sky Roberts, Virginia Giuffre’s father, broke down on live TV in 2021, his voice cracking with raw regret: “It’s a huge regret to me—I had no idea what was going on.”

The emotional moment came during a November 2019 BBC Panorama interview with Darragh MacIntyre, aired alongside Giuffre’s accusations against Prince Andrew. Roberts, speaking from his Florida home, wept as he recalled Giuffre—then 17—returning from London in 2001 after her alleged first assault by Andrew. “She came home distraught,” he said, voice breaking. “I asked what was wrong, but she couldn’t tell me. It’s a huge regret—I had no idea what was going on.”

Roberts described trusting Epstein’s promises of opportunity for his daughter, unaware of the grooming by Maxwell and Epstein. “They seemed legitimate—private jets, fancy people,” he said, tears streaming. “I thought it was her big break.” The interview, resurfaced amid Giuffre’s memoir Nobody’s Girl (October 21, 2025) and her April 25 suicide at 41, amplified parental anguish in elite abuse scandals.

Roberts later questioned her death’s official non-suspicious ruling, but the 2019 confession—raw regret for missed signs—remains haunting. As Andrew’s titles fell October 30, 2025, Roberts’ tears echoed Giuffre’s truth: innocence lost, warnings ignored, regret eternal.
