A stunned Australia watched as Sarah Ferguson, the ex-Duchess of York, stormed out of her explosive 60 Minutes Australia interview in 2011, her face flushed with fury when grilled about her “cash-for-access” scandal and ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

The May 29, 2011, episode, hosted by Liam Bartlett, confronted Ferguson over a News of the World sting where she offered access to Prince Andrew for £500,000 to an undercover reporter posing as a businessman. Already reeling from admitting the “serious lapse in judgment,” Ferguson grew visibly agitated as Bartlett pressed on her 2010 repayment of debts to Epstein—$25,000 wired after his conviction—and Epstein’s introduction of the “businessman.”

“I’ve done nothing wrong,” Ferguson insisted, voice rising, before abruptly standing: “I’m leaving.” She stormed off set, leaving Bartlett mid-question. The walkout—broadcast in full—drew gasps from viewers, the clip viewed millions worldwide.

Ferguson later apologized in a statement, calling the incident “a giant error.” Epstein, convicted in 2008 for procuring minors, had bailed her out of £1.5 million debts; Andrew repaid him post-scandal. No wrongdoing was proven against Ferguson beyond the sting.

The interview, resurfaced amid Giuffre’s Nobody’s Girl (October 21, 2025) and Epstein Files Transparency Act disclosures (completed December 19), highlighted early Epstein-royal ties. Ferguson’s fury—raw, unscripted—remains a symbol of privilege confronted, silence shattered.
