In a heartbreaking revelation that underscores the devastating ripple effects of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking empire, Sky Roberts, father of the late Virginia Giuffre, has opened up about the profound regret that continues to torment him. More than two decades ago, unaware of the predator lurking behind the opulent facade, Roberts personally drove his 17-year-old daughter to Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion, believing it was for a legitimate job opportunity in massage therapy.

Roberts, who worked as a maintenance manager at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, helped secure a summer spa attendant position there for Virginia in 2000. It was at Mar-a-Lago that Ghislaine Maxwell—Epstein’s accomplice, now serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking—approached the teenager reading a book on anatomy and massage. Maxwell lured her with promises of training and employment, leading to that fateful first visit.

In a 2021 interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Roberts expressed his anguish: “I had no idea what was going on. As a father, if I had any idea of what was going on, I would have stopped it. It’s a huge regret to me.” He described meeting Epstein briefly, noting the financier seemed “very cordial, very nice,” with no hint of the horrors to come. Roberts recalled dropping Virginia off multiple times, watching her walk into what he thought was a professional environment.

That innocence shattered as Virginia became one of Epstein’s most prominent victims, alleging she was groomed, trafficked, and abused by Epstein, Maxwell, and high-profile associates, including Britain’s Prince Andrew (who settled a lawsuit with her in 2022 without admitting liability). Virginia’s courageous testimony helped expose the network, but the trauma profoundly impacted her life.

Tragically, Virginia Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 at age 41, leaving behind three children. Her posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, released in October 2025, details her abuse and accuses her father of earlier misconduct—allegations he vehemently denies, stating he “never knew what was going on with Epstein” until news reports emerged.

Roberts’ regret is compounded by grief over his daughter’s death and the family’s ongoing pain. He has called her “the apple of my eye,” expressing pride in her strength while lamenting the irreversible moment he drove her to Epstein’s door. “I love her so much and to see her go through that, it hurts me a lot,” he said.

This personal tragedy highlights how Epstein and Maxwell preyed on vulnerable families, exploiting trust and normalcy. Roberts’ haunting remorse serves as a stark reminder of the hidden dangers in elite circles and the lifelong scars left on survivors and their loved ones.
