Virginia Giuffre Claims ‘Days to Live’ After Reported Car Crash Involving School Bus

Virginia Giuffre, the prominent accuser who alleged that Prince Andrew sexually abused her when she was 17 as part of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking network, announced in late March 2025 that she had only days left to live following a serious vehicle collision.

In an Instagram post dated March 30, 2025, Giuffre shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed with visible facial bruising and described a devastating accident in Western Australia. She wrote that a school bus driver struck her car at high speed—approximately 110 km/h (about 68 mph)—while she was slowing for a turn. According to her account, the impact caused severe injuries, leading to kidney (renal) failure. Doctors reportedly informed her that she had just four days to live and were transferring her to a specialized urology hospital for further treatment. She expressed gratitude for support while emphasizing the trauma of the incident and her desire to see her children.

Giuffre, who had long been an advocate for sex-trafficking survivors after escaping Epstein’s control in her late teens, had previously sued Prince Andrew in August 2021 in a civil case for sexual abuse. She claimed he had sex with her on three occasions in 2001 when she was underage, allegations he has repeatedly and emphatically denied, insisting he never met her or engaged in any wrongdoing. The case settled out of court in 2022 with no admission of liability from Andrew, who later lost his royal titles amid the fallout.

The March 2025 post sparked widespread media attention and concern among followers, given Giuffre’s history of public disclosures about her experiences with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. However, conflicting reports emerged shortly after. Western Australia police confirmed a collision on March 24, 2025, involving a car (in which a 41-year-old woman was traveling) and a school bus, but described it as minor with no reported injuries and limited vehicle damage (around AUD $2,000). Hospital sources and family statements later indicated Giuffre was in serious but stable condition, receiving medical care, rather than imminently terminal.

Her family clarified through spokespeople that the dramatic Instagram message may have been intended as a private draft or emotional outburst, not a fully accurate medical prognosis. They thanked the public for support while noting she remained under treatment. Giuffre herself later addressed the post, suggesting it was mistakenly shared publicly amid distress.

Tragically, despite initial survival from the crash, Giuffre died by suicide on April 25, 2025, at her farm in Western Australia, at age 41—less than a month after the incident and the viral claim. Her family confirmed the cause of death and highlighted her enduring legacy as a fierce campaigner against sexual exploitation. Her posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, released in October 2025, detailed her survival story and fight for justice.

The episode underscored the complexities of Giuffre’s final months, blending health struggles, public scrutiny, and her ongoing advocacy. Prince Andrew has faced no criminal charges related to her allegations.
