Carolyn Andriano, testifying anonymously as “Carolyn,” recounted how, as a 14-year-old in Florida in 2001, she received text messages from Virginia Giuffre (then Virginia Roberts) during Giuffre’s trip to London with Epstein and Maxwell. Andriano later spoke publicly in interviews, revealing the explosive detail: Giuffre had confided that she had slept with Prince Andrew.
According to Andriano’s account, Giuffre texted excitedly about being in London with Epstein, Maxwell, and “Prince Andrew.” When pressed, Giuffre allegedly confirmed they had sex, responding to Andriano’s question about visiting the palace with the blunt admission: “I got to sleep with him.” This revelation came just days after the alleged March 2001 encounter in London, where Giuffre claimed Epstein and Maxwell directed her to have sex with the prince at Maxwell’s Belgravia townhouse following a night out at the Tramp nightclub.
Giuffre has consistently maintained that she was trafficked to Prince Andrew on three occasions as a 17-year-old—once in London, once in New York, and once on Epstein’s private island—allegations Andrew has vehemently denied, calling them “categorically untrue.” He settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 for an undisclosed sum without admitting liability, a move that fueled ongoing speculation rather than quelling it.
Andriano’s post-trial statements, reported in outlets like The Guardian and the Daily Mail, added corroborative weight to Giuffre’s claims. As a fellow Epstein victim who testified that Giuffre introduced her to Maxwell and Epstein, Andriano described the texts as contemporaneous evidence of Giuffre’s state of mind during the events.
