Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent survivors and accusers in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal, experienced a period of relative quiet in the public eye after her high-profile 2022 civil settlement with Prince Andrew. Following years of intense media scrutiny, court battles, and advocacy work through her organization Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR), Giuffre had stepped back somewhat from the relentless spotlight. One particularly shocking revelation described a savage assault by a “well-known Prime Minister” (described differently in U.S. and U.K. editions as a current or former minister), where she begged Epstein not to send her back. Epstein’s cold response—”You’ll get that sometimes”—highlighted the transactional cruelty at the heart of the operation. She portrayed these encounters as part of a pattern of being “loaned” to wealthy and powerful men, leaving her feeling like she might “die a sex slave.” Additional passages detailed physical trauma, including an ectopic pregnancy allegedly covered up by Epstein, and her fear that the memories continued to “torture” her years later.
