Piers Morgan’s Uncensored studio crackled with tension on February 21, 2023, as he grilled David Boies, Virginia Giuffre’s lawyer, about Prince Andrew’s £12 million settlement in her 2021 sexual abuse lawsuit.

The TalkTV episode, titled “Prince Andrew’s £12 Million Pay-Off,” saw Morgan press Boies on the out-of-court agreement reached in February 2022—Giuffre accusing Andrew of three sexual assaults at age 17 (allegations he denies). “Why settle if the evidence was so strong?” Morgan asked, voice sharp. Boies, calm but firm, replied: “Settlements avoid unpredictable juries. Virginia got justice—money for her charity, Andrew’s reputation shattered. He paid a fortune because the case was strong.”
Morgan pushed on the “no admission of liability” clause and Andrew’s charity donation pledge (never fulfilled). Boies countered: “The payment speaks louder than words.” He emphasized Giuffre’s courage: “She took on a prince—few would.”
The interview, viewed millions, amplified scrutiny amid Andrew’s royal exile. Giuffre later detailed the settlement’s toll in her posthumous memoir Nobody’s Girl (October 21, 2025), her suicide on April 25, 2025, at 41 deepening the tragedy.
Morgan’s grilling—tense, unrelenting—captured a pivotal moment: settlement as victory for a survivor, disgrace for a royal.
