Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender and financier who died in 2019, reportedly confided in close associates about a shocking personal plan: if he ever married, it would be to his young goddaughter, the daughter of his former longtime lover.

According to investigations by Business Insider and other outlets in late 2019, Epstein discussed marrying Celina Dubin, then in her early 20s, the daughter of Eva Andersson-Dubin, a former Miss Sweden and physician whom Epstein dated for over a decade in the 1980s. Eva later married billionaire hedge-fund manager Glenn Dubin in 1994, but the families remained close, with Epstein serving as godfather to Celina and often referring to himself as “Uncle Jeff.”
Sources revealed that around 2014, Epstein set up an irrevocable trust worth up to $50 million, naming Celina as a beneficiary. The motive, per associates, was pragmatic yet alarming: marriage would allow her to inherit his vast estate—including properties like his private island—without heavy inheritance taxes. Epstein, then in his 60s, was over 40 years older than Celina, who was around 19 when these discussions reportedly began.
While no evidence suggests a romantic or physical relationship between Epstein and Celina, the revelation underscores his pattern of blurring boundaries with young women in his circle. The Dubin family has denied knowledge of the trust details and expressed horror at Epstein’s crimes, stating they would have severed ties immediately if aware.
This confession, emerging amid Epstein’s sex trafficking scandal, highlights the depth of his manipulative networks, involving ex-partners and their families. It adds another layer to the ongoing scrutiny of his associates and estate, even years after his death.
