Independent outlet Drop Site News has unveiled a groundbreaking investigative series revealing Jeffrey Epstein’s deep involvement with Israeli intelligence operations. Drawing from leaked emails hacked from former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s inbox—released by the group Handala and disseminated by Distributed Denial of Secrets—the reports paint Epstein as a key facilitator, or “fixer,” brokering covert deals that advanced Israel’s security interests worldwide.

Central to the revelations is Epstein’s close partnership with Barak, a former defense minister and head of Israeli military intelligence. Leaked correspondence shows Epstein advising Barak on engaging Mossad leadership, using coded references like “number 1” for the agency’s director. Epstein helped establish backchannels, including efforts to influence Russian policy during the Syrian civil war, urging regime change in Damascus while preserving Moscow’s regional interests.
The series details Epstein’s role in expanding Israel’s cyber-surveillance empire. He pursued financing from Swiss banker Ariane de Rothschild for Israeli cyberweapons firms and assisted in selling mass surveillance technology to Côte d’Ivoire, crafted by ex-Israeli intelligence officials. Similar deals targeted Mongolia, where Epstein leveraged elite networks to secure security agreements embedding Israeli spy-tech.
Most strikingly, documents reveal a senior Israeli intelligence officer, Yoni Koren—a longtime Barak aide with Mossad ties—stayed for weeks at Epstein’s Manhattan residence multiple times between 2013 and 2016. Koren, still in reserve duty, conducted official business from the property, highlighting Epstein’s homes as hubs for operatives.
Reporter Murtaza Hussain notes the dynamic often reversed expectations: “It looked like Mossad was working for Epstein.” While speculation persists about Epstein as a formal asset—fueled by his trafficking network—the evidence substantiates his quasi-official role promoting Israeli interests, intersecting U.S., Russian, and other intelligence circles.
As unsealed Epstein files continue dominating headlines, Drop Site’s findings challenge narratives of isolated criminality, raising urgent questions about elite impunity and foreign influence in one of history’s most infamous scandals.
