In a confidential Oval Office briefing last spring—revealed now amid intensifying scrutiny—Attorney General Pam Bondi disclosed to President Donald Trump that his name surfaces repeatedly throughout the vast Jeffrey Epstein investigative files, according to multiple sources familiar with the high-level exchange.
The May 2025 meeting, attended by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, was described as a routine update on the Justice Department’s comprehensive review of Epstein-related documents. Bondi informed the president that his name appeared multiple times, often in unverified hearsay contexts from the 1990s and early 2000s, alongside numerous other prominent figures. Sources emphasized that these mentions do not indicate wrongdoing and largely reflect Epstein’s known efforts to cultivate elite social circles in New York and Palm Beach.

Bondi reportedly presented binders containing flight logs, contact lists, and witness statements where Trump was referenced, including phone messages and social interactions. The briefing also covered the absence of any “client list” or evidence contradicting Epstein’s 2019 suicide ruling.
This disclosure, first reported in July 2025, has taken on enormous new weight as partial releases of Epstein files in December 2025—mandated by the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act—have fueled accusations of selective redactions and delays. Critics point to the timing: Trump’s administration initially resisted full disclosure, only reversing after base backlash and congressional pressure.
Trump has consistently denied impropriety, noting he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago years before his arrests. White House officials dismissed early reports as “fake news,” while Bondi stated nothing in the files warranted further probes.
Yet the revelation underscores persistent questions about elite connections to Epstein’s network. With ongoing releases and threats of contempt against Bondi, this private warning now looms as a pivotal moment in the saga, amplifying demands for unredacted transparency.
