A January 7, 2020, email from an unidentified federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, unsealed in the latest Epstein document release on December 23, 2025, reveals that President Donald Trump flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet at least eight times between 1993 and 1996—more frequently than previously reported. The email, part of nearly 30,000 pages disclosed by the Department of Justice (DOJ), notes these flights occurred during a period relevant to potential charges against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted accomplice.

Flight logs detail domestic routes, primarily between Palm Beach, Florida; New York/New Jersey; and Washington, D.C. Passengers on some trips included Trump’s then-wife Marla Maples, children Eric and Tiffany, and on at least four occasions, Maxwell herself. One flight listed only Trump, Epstein, and a redacted 20-year-old passenger. Another referenced redacted women who could have been witnesses in Maxwell’s case.

Trump and Epstein were known social acquaintances in the 1990s elite circles before Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago around 2004-2005, citing inappropriate behavior. No allegations of wrongdoing against Trump appear in the documents. The DOJ has stressed that the files include raw materials, such as unverified tips, and explicitly warned against sensationalism, noting some claims against Trump are “unfounded and false.”

These revelations come amid phased releases under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by President Trump in November 2025. With over 5.2 million pages under review, disclosures continue into 2026. Victims’ advocates praise the transparency push, while critics question redactions and delays.

The email adds nuance to a long-documented association, highlighting Epstein’s access to power without implicating Trump in crimes.
