A trove of leaked 2006 emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s personal account has exposed his collaboration with Alan Dershowitz to discredit political scientists John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt over their landmark paper “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy.”
The emails, published by Drop Site News on November 25, 2025, from a cache obtained by whistleblower group Distributed Denial of Secrets, show Epstein receiving early drafts of Dershowitz’s attack piece “Debunking the Newest – and Oldest – Jewish Conspiracy,” comparing the scholars’ work to neo-Nazi propaganda and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Epstein enthusiastically responded “terrific…congragulations (sic)” and confirmed distributing it through his network, writing “yes I’ve started” when Dershowitz’s assistant asked.
This occurred the same week Epstein strategized with Dershowitz—his lawyer—on discrediting a teenage accuser in his Florida case. Mearsheimer told Drop Site, “I’m not surprised… Dershowitz and Epstein were close and both have a passionate attachment to Israel.” Walt declined comment.
The coordination ironically validated Mearsheimer and Walt’s thesis: a powerful lobby mobilizes to silence critics. Their 2006 paper, arguing pro-Israel groups skew U.S. policy against national interest, faced fierce backlash; Harvard removed its logo, and careers suffered.
Dershowitz defended his rebuttal as academic debate. The emails, amid Epstein Files Transparency Act disclosures, highlight elite tactics: Epstein’s influence extended beyond predation to intellectual suppression.
